A Little More Catching Up

This is the sample hat from March's class. The pattern is from the Patons book The Big Chill. The snowflake hat was knit using Patons Classic Wool. I modified the pattern so it could be knit in the round using the two handed fair isle method. Yes, that is right, you knit with BOTH hands. Each one holds a different colour. This was a quick knit. The sample hat was knit in two evenings and all of the students who where beginners with this technique have all finished their hats as well. One student enthusiastically has finished two!! You all did an amazing job! We had so much fun with this pattern that it will more than likely be offered as a beginner class again next winter along with another intermediate project for anyone looking for a challenge.

The long awaited sock class is starting tomorrow night!! We are going to have so much fun. Socks are the best! Happy knitting everyone!
