More new sweaters

This picture shows the beginning of everyone's top down sweater from the class on Monday night. There is a mix of adult and children sweaters being made in all different colours and yarns. Everyone's is looking great so far. In the class the week before we had taken our neck measurement, figured out our gauge and did the math to determine how many stitches to cast on. We determined where our makers went to mark our increases and off everyone went to start knitting their neck band. This past Monday night we determined how many extra stitches were needed to cast on and join our knitting in the round. Now it is round after round of knitting and increasing until our work reaches past the underarm. This is easy knitting but the rounds get longer and longer. Consider this therapeutic/relaxing knitting and enjoy!

For anyone who has joined the knitting olympics either on Ravelry or with the Yarn Harlot, the fun begins tomorrow night during the opening ceremony of the actual winter olympics! I have decided on a pattern and will search for the yarn tomorrow. I will keep you all in suspense for a day or two until I have pictures to show you but it is not a sweater.
