New Wool!

This wool is special because it was a gift from a knitting friend. She brought it back from the mountains in Columbia.

It is an undyed white, bulky wool. It is wonderful! There is only 361 grams so I am thinking of knitting a vest with this wool and then using another wool to knit a front and bottom boarder. I haven't decided if the boarder should be the same shade of white or a contrasting colour. Any other ideas would be welcomed!

That is a very special gift ! I'd probably stick to white , but then I'm not too adventuresome with mixing colours . Good luck , can't wait to see what you come up with ...

Thanks for the suggestion Frieda. That is the way I am leaning as well. I have this idea of knitting a vest side to side and alternating panels of this bulky wool with a lighter weight white wool in a more open/lace stitch. In my imagination it looks great lol but I will have to do a swatch to see what it looks like in reality!
