Yarn Dyeing Fun!

I have been having fun dyeing wool using koolaid and Wilton cake dyes. This is what I have come up with so far.

The ball on the top left was dyed using Koolaid, 2 packages of orange and 1 package of lime green. The ball on the top right was dyed with Wiltons cake dyes using moss green and lemon yellow.

The ball on the bottom left was dyed using koolaid, 4 packages of strawberry kiwi and half a package of grape. The bottom middle used the Wilton dyes in copper, the bottom right was Wiltons dye, Delphinium.

These two skeins have just been rinsed and will now be hung up to dry. The top one was dyed with Wiltons violet and the bottom was done with black. Both of these gave a wonderful varigated colour.

This is a skein still in the dye pot in wiltons cornflower. I am going to let this skein sit overnight to cool and to absorb the last of the dye.

This is so much fun!
