Thank You Sock Knitters!!

I have finally gotten around to sorting out the socks that we displayed at the Western Fair.

We had 44 pairs of socks on loan from knitter's in knitting groups from London and Aylmer. There were socks knit in all sizes and colours. Some were knit toe up, cuff down, diagonally and sideways. There were socks knit with after thought heels, short row heels and heel flaps. There were cable patterns and lace patterns. The yarns varied from cotton to self striping yarn to hand dyed wool. Over 300 people voted for their favourite sock. The top socks are pictured together. From left to right are First place - Chris's orange/yellow socks
Second place - Liz's lace sock
Third place - Rebecca's diagonal ribbed sock
Fourth place - Wanda's purple socks

Congratulations to Chris for knitting the winning socks! Thanks to everyone else for letting me borrow your socks. Everyone who stopped at the booth enjoyed looking at all of your hard work and all the socks got lots of wonderful comments. Great knitting everyone!
