Yarn Harlot Night

After months of waiting, the Yarn Harlot was here!

What better way for a group of knitters to spend an evening than meeting at a restaraunt (we knitted while we waited for our food)and then going to the book signing for the Yarn Harlot's new book.

We knitted while we waited for the talk to begin. (Most of us are wearing the hat we knit from the Yarn Harlot's pattern An Unoriginal Hat)

We knitted while we listened to the Yarn Harlot talk.

Then we all did a little shopping for yarn, bought her new book and had her sign it.

This is one of the Knitting Goddesses chatting to the Yarn Harlot as she got her book signed.

Some of us had decided to do some shopping in the yarn shop before the talk began and we were lucky enough to have a chance to talk to the Yarn Harlot herself before she headed over to the church to get ready for her talk. When you follow someone's blog and enjoy their books, it is pretty exciting to actually get to meet and talk to them in person!

Thanks to the Yarn Harlot and the Knitting Goddesses for a fun night out!

It was great seeing you ladies, as always! Did any of you make it to any of her weekend classes?

OMGosh! Fo'sho it's like meeting a celebrity!
I'd take meeting a knitting celebrity over some movie one any day.
Happy for you and the crew on getting to experience all of this.

I can't believe I missed you. It was a great night though, and I'm still buzzing with the fun of the whole weekend.

Sounds like a great evening. Stephanie spoke in Madison a few years ago, and she is hysterical.

Oh, I'm jealous! I've met her twice now, and I have to say, she's even funnier and more awesome in person than on her blog. fun times.
