As Promised

It's a little hot to be wearing wool mittens in July but here they are (I feel like we need a drum roll!), the finished Aran Winter Set mitts.

We went to the beach for the afternoon as did nearly everyone else it would seem.  I have never seen the beach so full!  We found a spot in the shade to set up our chairs and spent a few hours knitting and doing a photo shoot of the mitts.  There is nothing like wearing mitts on the beach in July on a super hot day and then taking pictures of them to get you funny looks.

Yarn - Cascade 220 100% wool
Needles - 3.5mm dpns

These mitts were the project from a cable knitting class that I took at The Little Red Mitten back in June.  They were lots of fun to kit; they did require paying close attention to the chart and the pattern introduced you to lots of different cable stitches. I'd knit them again for sure.

Now on to sweater knitting!!

Beautiful mittens. I got a chuckle from thinking of you photographing mittens at the beach!
